ABOUT US
OUR MISSION
Earnestly seek and reach the lost; then enroll them into church membership. Teach, train, equip, and develop; then send them forth to fulfill the Great Commission.
Matthew 28:19-20

HISTORY
The ministry of Bishop Stacy and Pastor Ruth McQueen began in the 1960s. They were both traveling Evangelists, ministering separately throughout the United States. In 1964 they were united in Holy Matrimony. They continued traveling and evangelizing adding to their team an outstanding praise and worship leader, the late Minister Joseph Tabb.
They evangelized throughout the country and overseas pioneering works in Rocky Mount, NC; Baltimore, MD and Seattle, WA (out of which grew two other churches in Tacoma, WA, and Canada).
In the mid-’60s, they opened up the Aliquippa Deliverance Center in the Pittsburgh area. Coming back to New Jersey, they opened Full Gospel Monument of Faith Church. Pastor McQueen found the building that we are in today and she alongside Elder Orlando Harrison pursued it and purchased it shortly thereafter.
Full Gospel Ministries grew and they worked the work of Him that sent them. Many successful crusades were conducted within and outside of the country. There were crusades in Bermuda, Jamaica, West Indies, London, England, and Nigeria. Here in the states, during the spring and summer for a number of years was the “Reaching the Lost and Strengthening the Saint's Crusades”. These crusades were held throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and other parts of the state of New Jersey.
Dynamic Tent Crusades were conducted every summer in the city of Newark. Street outreach services were held which is an ongoing ministry headed by our Elder Jacqueline Long. We have a nursing home ministry at Jay Street and Brookhaven and they are headed by Elder Sylvene Suggs. Our vibrant Sunday School Department is headed by Superintendent Marcia Stephenson. The Community Outreach Ministry, under the leadership of Elder Jacqueline Long, has an awesome impact in our community. The Outreach team reaches out to the community throughout the year, by giving away school supplies, clothing, winter coats and food baskets to needy families. Our school, Full Gospel Christian Academy is in its 34th year of service to the community. This entity is another part of Bishop and Pastor’s vision and was started by Elder Johnnie Myers.
Every Tuesday night we have an exciting and informative Bible Study class, taught by our Professor June Otugo, Elder Sylvene Suggs & Bishop McQueen.
Every Tuesday we have the “Hour of Power Noon Day Prayer”, under the leadership of our Pastor Ruth McQueen. This special prayer and worship undergirds all of the aforementioned ministries.
Foreign missions have been an important part of this ministry. Financial support, as well as clothing, has been given to the Republic of Haiti and Jamaica, West Indies. Financial donations have been sent to Ethiopia, Africa, India, and Russia through the American Bible Society.
Over the 45 years of Pastorate, five churches have developed as the result of Headquarters Full Gospel Monument of Faith.
